Boltt ACE 5G vs Boltt EVO: Fire-Boltt’s Budget Debut Compared

Fire-Boltt has entered the smartphone market with two budget-focused devices under its new “boltt” sub-brand: the Boltt ACE 5G and the Boltt EVO. Both phones share a strikingly similar design language, featuring iPhone-inspired camera islands, flat-edge polycarbonate frames, and modern punch-hole displays with 120Hz refresh rates. They also run a clean, near-stock version of Android 16 with Gemini-powered features like Circle to Search and Google Lens, positioning them as bloatware-free alternatives in a crowded budget segment.

The core differences lie in connectivity and performance. The Boltt ACE 5G is powered by the Unisoc T8200 octa-core processor and supports 5G networks, making it the more future-proof option. It also includes NFC for tap-to-pay functionality and features a 64MP main rear camera paired with a secondary sensor. The Boltt EVO, meanwhile, is limited to 4G LTE and runs on the Unisoc T7250 chipset. Its camera setup consists of a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP macro lens, and it notably retains a 3.5mm headphone jack—a feature absent from its 5G sibling.

Both devices pack a generous 6,000mAh battery, but charging speeds differ. The ACE 5G supports 18W fast charging and comes with an 18W adapter in the box, while the EVO ships with a 10W charger. Display specifications are identical: a 6.79-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits of peak brightness. Neither phone carries an official IP rating for water resistance, and both use side-mounted fingerprint scanners.

Pricing is where the two diverge most clearly. The Boltt ACE 5G starts at ₹13,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant (with a launch-day discount bringing it to ₹12,999), while the Boltt EVO starts at ₹10,999 for the same configuration (dropping to ₹9,999 on launch day). The ACE 5G commands a roughly ₹3,000 premium for its 5G connectivity, faster processor, NFC, and higher-resolution main camera. For buyers who prioritize future-proof connectivity and slightly better performance, the ACE 5G is the clear choice; for those on a tighter budget who just need a reliable 4G daily driver with a massive battery and clean software, the EVO delivers solid value.

One important caveat: Fire-Boltt’s software update commitment for these phones appears limited. Early reports indicate the company promises only two years of security updates and no guaranteed OS upgrades, which is worth considering if long-term software support matters to you. Both phones go on sale exclusively via Flipkart.
