The Kerala Civil Supplies Department has outlined the wheat and fortified atta entitlements for October 2026, with distribution commencing on Saturday, 03.10.2026. The September 2026 cycle concludes tomorrow, Wednesday, 30.09.2026, and ration shops will remain closed on 01.10.2026 and 02.10.2026. Wheat distribution forms a key component of the monthly ration allocation, with entitlements varying across card categories to ensure nutritional support for eligible households.
AAY (Antyodaya Anna Yojana) cardholders are entitled to 2 kg of wheat along with 3 packets of fortified atta at ₹7 per packet. PHH (Priority Household) cards receive 1 kg of wheat per member, with fortified atta available at ₹9 per packet, limited to the household’s card entitlement. NPS (Non-Priority Subsidy) and NPNS (Non-Priority Non-Subsidy) cardholders are entitled to 2 kg of fortified wheat per household at ₹8.70 per kg. It may be noted that NPI (Non-Priority Institution) cards do not have a wheat allocation under the current scheme.
Fortified atta and wheat are provided to address nutritional deficiencies and improve dietary standards among ration cardholders. Beneficiaries are encouraged to collect their wheat and atta entitlements along with their regular rice allocation during the distribution window. Cardholders should carry valid identification and their ration card when visiting their designated ration shops, and are advised to verify their entitlements with local authorities in case of any discrepancy.
