The Kerala Civil Supplies Department has announced the kerosene allocation for the October-November-December 2026 quarter, bringing relief to cardholders across the state. The allocation is structured based on card category and whether the household has electricity access. For households with electricity, AAY (Antyodaya Anna Yojana) cards will receive 1 litre of kerosene, while PHH (Priority Household), NPS (Non-Priority Subsidy), and NPNS (Non-Priority Non-Subsidy) cards will receive 0.5 litres each. Meanwhile, cards belonging to households without electricity will receive a substantially higher allocation of 6 litres, recognising their greater dependence on kerosene for lighting and cooking needs.
The kerosene distribution will run alongside the regular ration distribution schedule for October 2026. The September 2026 distribution cycle concludes tomorrow, Wednesday, 30.09.2026, and ration shops will remain closed on 01.10.2026 and 02.10.2026. Distribution for October 2026, including kerosene, will commence on Saturday, 03.10.2026. Cardholders are advised to check with their local ration shops regarding the exact timing of kerosene collection, as availability may vary by outlet.
This quarter’s kerosene allocation reflects the government’s continued effort to support households that rely on kerosene as a primary fuel source, particularly those without electricity connections. Eligible cardholders should carry valid identification and their ration card when collecting their kerosene allocation. For any discrepancies or queries regarding entitlements, cardholders may contact their local Civil Supplies office or the designated ration shop authorities.
